Shigley Construction, 20 Years In Business With 'Rooms to Grow'!
For 20 years, the Shigley Construction design/build/remodeling firm has been helping homeowners turn ideas into finished spaces the entire family can enjoy.
Troughout the years, Shigley Construction has helped homeowners create warm, comfortable room additions, finished basement, master suites, modernized kitchens and more. Because building materials are abundant and interest rates are at historic lows, it is an ideal time to begin the design process.
Owner Tim Shigley got his start in the construction industry at an early age, working as a carpenter in a cabinet shop to put himself through college. After earning a bachelor’s degree in natural sciences and mathematics at Wichita State University, Tim established a reputation as a trustworthy residential and commercial remodeler who does quality work. Now, more than two decades later, Shigley Construction is known as one of the top remodelers in the country, successfully tackling the difficult projects other contractors avoid. The good news for Wichita-area homeowners, however, is that Shigley Construction’s expertise doesn’t stop there.
“We do small jobs, too,” says Tim. “We have a great, hand-picked staff who can bring their expertise to any size job.”
Renovating a hall bath, reconfiguring a bedroom into a master suite or creating a more efficient kitchen can improve a homeowner’s quality of life — and modernize a home without moving up or out. “People are looking for ways to improve their lifestyles, without the high cost involved in buying new,” says Tim. “You don’t have to build a big room addition to see a big change in your home. We can look at how you want to use the space and make minor changes that drastically improve a homeowner’s lifestyle.”
A number of improved products make this an ideal time to update a bathroom. Plumbing fixtures, specialized heating systems to warm floor tiles and betterperforming toilets and spa tubs, when coupled with decorative tiles and granite-style surfaces provide bathrooms with a more luxurious, designer look.
Thee winter months also are the perfect time to turn one’s attention to outdoor improvements. An increasing number of homeowners are turning to Shigley Construction to build outdoor living spaces with complete kitchen, as well as a firepit or fireplace. “There is an ever increasing availability of new products that work well outdoors,” says Tim, from gas grills with improved designs to hot tubs and outdoor fireplaces, as well as other heating appliances.
With 20 years of experience, Shigley Construction has built trusting relationships with homeowners. The company’s written warranty reflects Tim’s emphasis on quality. “It’s important to stand behind your work and, with the extensive warranty we provide, you won’t have any worries for a long time after completion,” he says.
Tim makes it a priority to stay on top of the latest design trends. He has mastered computer generated design (CAD) and earned the professional designation of Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR), which recognizes remodelers with exceptional business integrity, technical competence and a solid track record of customer satisfaction. Tim has also earned the Graduate Master Builder. Production manager Gene Bowers is also a CGR.
Just as important is the fact that Tim treats every job as if it were in his own home. “I want my clients to choose us for our integrity, experience, creativity and warranties,” he says.
